Ryan has released two acclaimed solo albums, “In Time” (2011) and “Life” (2013), and received Irish Music Awards in 2011 and 2014. His musical theatre credits include lead roles in “Blood Brothers” and “Jesus Christ Superstar.”
A dedicated sports enthusiast, Ryan has played Gaelic football and basketball nationally and remains active with his local GAA club. He’s also an avid runner and Boston Celtics supporter, noting the honor of performing the US National Anthem at TD Garden as a highlight.
Ryan joined Celtic Thunder after auditioning at his brother’s suggestion and quickly became known for his dramatic stage persona. He performs with Neil Byrne in “Byrne & Kelly.” Ryan’s deep ties to Australia stem from family connections, making performances there especially meaningful. In 2018, he continued touring globally with both Byrne & Kelly.
