The awesome power of world music and live performance will be taken to the next level when Green Hill Records launches IRELAND, the new CD and companion DVD project from global Irish Show Celtic Thunder, due on March 6th, 2020.

With Celtic Thunder IRELAND the world-renowned supergroup revisits their most popular Irish and Celtic songs of the past decade, drawing from their best-loved Television Specials and hits since their inception. IRELAND features the songs and performances that launched Celtic Thunder into the hearts and homes of audiences across the US and Canada, winning them the mantle of Top World Music Act in Billboard five times over.

The Celtic Thunder IRELAND, on CD, DVD and live theatrical show, encompasses the essence of the Public Television darlings, delivering a blend of lively, fast paced and upbeat songs “Rocky Road To Dublin” “Star of the County Down” and “Raggle Taggle Gypsy” classic solo ballads “Mountains of Mourne” and “Ride On” and renowned Irish love songs such as “She Moved Through The Fair” and “Danny Boy”. All with a special Celtic Thunder twist, of course.

Both the ensemble and solo performances in IRELAND highlight the diversity of Irish and Celtic music and song. Memorable moments include the group’s unique take on beloved Celtic classics such as “Mull of Kintyre” and “Carrickergus ” and their powerful delivery of inspiring anthems such as “Caledonia” and “My Land”.

Renowned for their blended harmonies and wonderful arrangements, the ensemble numbers in Celtic Thunder IRELAND reflect the power of the soloists, who range in age from mid 20’s to 40’s and feature songs that depict both their musical footprint over the past 12 years as well as their amazing musical heritage. Celtic Thunder vocalists are backed, as always, by the amazing 8-piece Celtic Thunder band, ensuring that Celtic Thunder IRELAND has something special something to offer to everyone.

The release of Celtic Thunder IRELAND will be backed by a major North American tour, which will travel this fall to 40-cities coast to coast in both Canada and the U.S. In addition to Celtic Thunder soloists, the tour will also feature strings, guitar, percussion, whistles, pipes, guitars and more in the eight- piece Celtic Thunder band.
