BYRNE & KELLY MAGIC

Last night in Portland, I found out for myself just exactly why folks drive hundreds of miles and fly across the continent and other countries to see Byrne and Kelly!! There is a warmth and a magic about them that draws you in. My face hurt at the end of the evening from smiling! I waited 3 years for the B&K live experience, and it topped all expectations! I absolutely LOVE a great story , well told…and these two are indeed masters at telling /singing a story to life! Breathing life into their songs, they paint imagery in my mind that cant help but come out in paintings! Musicians are, as Neil says, “Sensitive Souls” to write the lyrics that go straight to our hearts! I gotta believe that perhaps visual artists may be “sensitive souls” as well …because I don’t know how else to explain WHY their melody and verse affect me so deeply and inspire me to attempt to recreate the songs that sink deep into my bones!! Last night , I went with heavy heart, weighted with some plaguing life worries, and what they did for my soul last night was like getting a transfusion of hope and new life energy! Thank You, Byrne and Kelly for spreading your love and magic!

Below are attached photos of my paintings that were inspired by Byrne and Kelly artists either as Byrne and Kelly or as part of Celtic Thunder – “Streets of London”, “The Old Tweed Coat”, “The Garden”, “The Ragman 1 & 2”, “The Green Fields of France” and “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”.
